The House Charlotte Program located in Charlotte, North Carolina is a great program for qualified buyers designed to make homeownership more affordable. You can qualify for up to $7,500 for down payment assistance on the purchase of your home.

Funds are provided thru a 10 year deferred and forgivable loan. There's a total of 103 neighborhoods in the Charlotte, NC area that are eligible for House Charlotte funds. There is a home buying education class, a total of 6 to 8 hours that is required in order to qualify for this program and home MUST be a primary residence and not to be used as a rental or re-sale. The maximum sales price cannot exceed $147,000. Household income limits is based on HUD median income.
